The Ministry of Agriculture says it has imposed restrictions on the importation of fruits and vegetables from the Limpopo province in South Africa.
It says this follows an outbreak of the Asisan fruit fly. The area has therefore been quarantined.
It says importation of fruit from South Africa will require a permit. In addition passengers at points of entry will also be checked.
